Obituary of Valerie Alexander

Please share a memory of Valerie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Valerie Rodney Alexander, our beloved mother, and grandmother passed away from complications following lung surgery, on July 20, 2020. She lived a wonderful life until the age of 73. Valerie is survived by her children, daughters Suzette Rodney, Roxanne Rodney, Michelle Alexander, Tricia Alexander and son Roger Alexander, as well as her daughter-in-law, niece, nephews and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Valerie was born in Trinidad. She loved and travelled to Trinidad every year to visit with her many friends and family. She will be remembered for her vivacity, humor, hugs and big smile. She will be missed. A memorial service will be held on August 3, 2020 at Blair Mazzarella Funeral Home. Our family invites you to express condolences on the following tribute wall. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Valerie Rodney Alexander, please visit the tribute store. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on her behalf to Valerie’s favorite charity, Global Giving for Children in Trinidad and Tobago: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/project-venue-for-resource-centre/ We will plan for a joyous “Valerie-worthy” celebration of life once we can all safely gather.
