Our History
We stand behind our reputation and will continue to serve our community with the values instilled by our funeral directors.
In 1904, Harry F. Blair opened the Harry F. Blair Funeral Home on Coney Island Avenue in the Kensington section of Brooklyn, which he operated until his retirement in the 1940's. His son Harry F. Blair, Jr. continued to run the business until his death in 1970. The business was then passed to Thomas G. Blair, grandson to the original owner and continued to operate the Funeral Home until his retirement in 1988, at which time ownership transfer to James Donofrio and Joseph Mazzarella and the firm was renamed Blair-Mazzarella Funeral Home.
Upon Joseph Mazzarella's retirement in 2001, James Donofrio became the sole owner and continued to operate under the name Blair-Mazzarella.
