In Loving Memory of
Agenise Jasmin
November 28, 1952 to June 1, 2026
With profound sadness and unwavering love, we announce the passing of our beloved Agenise Jasmin, who entered eternal rest on June 1, 2026.
Agenise was born in Haiti, where she developed the strength, resilience, faith, and love of family that would guide her throughout her life. As a young woman, she immigrated to the United States with her relatives in pursuit of new opportunities and a brighter future. She was proud to become an American while remaining deeply connected to her Haitian heritage, culture, and traditions. Throughout her life, she remained grounded in the values of family, hard work, generosity, and community that shaped her character.
In her younger years, Agenise pursued her passion for fashion and attended the French Fashion Design Academy in New York City. A talented designer with a keen eye for beauty and elegance, she expressed her creativity through fashion and carried that sense of style throughout her life. She lovingly created custom designs for her daughters, family members, and friends, bringing joy and confidence to those who wore her creations.
She later devoted more than forty years to a career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Caring for elderly patients was more than a profession to her; it was a calling. Agenise dedicated her life to providing comfort, dignity, healing, compassionate care, and companionship to countless individuals and families. Her coworkers became an extension of her family, and her kindness, patience, and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Beautiful inside and out, Agenise was known for her beautiful skin, generous heart, infectious laughter, vibrant spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She embraced life fully, spoke her mind with honesty and conviction, and brought warmth, joy, and wisdom wherever she went.
Agenise made her kitchen the heart of the home, where family and friends gathered around delicious meals, homemade cakes, and unforgettable Thanksgiving dinners. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and creating cherished memories around the table that will live on for generations.
A natural storyteller and lively orator, Agenise could captivate a room with her humor, wisdom, and colorful recollections. Whether sharing family stories, offering advice, or making others laugh, she had a unique ability to connect with people and make them feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Family was at the center of Agenise’s life. She was the beloved wife of Wildor Jasmin and a devoted mother to her daughters, Wilnise Jasmin and Stephanie Jasmin. She shared a special bond with her beloved son-in-law, Ashwin Nagarajan, whom she loved as a son, and with her stepson, Rossiny Nardol. She loved her children beyond words and took immense pride in the family she helped build. A tireless caretaker, she lovingly cared for her husband with unwavering dedication, strength, and compassion. Her selflessness and commitment to those she loved were evident in everything she did.
Agenise’s faith was the foundation of her life. In her later years, she formed an especially close bond with her church family, with whom she shared countless cherished moments of worship, prayer, fellowship, laughter, and support. She treasured these relationships deeply and found great joy in being surrounded by a community united by faith, love, and devotion to God. Her church family became a cherished extension of her own family and held a special place in her heart.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that she now rests peacefully in God’s loving embrace and has entered into eternal life. Her legacy of love, faith, resilience, service, laughter, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her devoted husband, Wildor Jasmin; her loving daughters, Wilnise Jasmin and Stephanie Jasmin; her beloved son-in-law, Ashwin Nagarajan; her cherished stepson, Rossiny Nardol; her cherished grandchildren; her loving siblings, Sandra Richmond, Andrea Chery, Lafortune Pasteur, and Steeve Richmond; the Nagarajan family, who became a beloved extension of her own family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her loving aunt, extended relatives, dear friends, former colleagues who became like family, and the many lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, faith, and enduring love.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
