Merline “Marsha” Manson, 61, of Brooklyn, New York, was born on January 7, 1965, and passed away on April 25, 2026. Marsha was a loving and devoted woman who found her greatest joy in her family and her faith. She had a deep love for her fiancé and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandson, sisters, and extended family. A woman of strong faith, Marsha loved going to church and hearing the Word of God. She found comfort and joy in gospel music and also enjoyed listening to “way back” music that brought her happiness and fond memories. Known for her warm and joyful spirit, Marsha loved to laugh, have fun, and bring smiles to those around her. Her presence could light up any room, and she will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving fiancé, Andrew Priester; her two sons, Alan Manson & Barry Carter; her beloved grandson, Lamar Blackwell; her four surviving sisters, Yolanda Williams, Shannda Penn, Crystal Lacroix, Prestine Samuals; many nieces and nephews; two grandnieces; brothers-in-law; and a host of close family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marie Carrington & Edward James Carter; two brothers; two sisters; and a nephew. Marsha’s love, laughter, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
