Antonio “Toñin” Sanchez Vazquez Sr., 89, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep devotion to his family.


Antonio, affectionately known as “Toñin,” was a devoted husband to his loving and caring wife, Oneida Alejandro Sanchez, and a proud father to his five children: Antonio Sanchez Jr., Frankie Sanchez, Teddy Sanchez, Luz Sánchez Gorbea, and Edna Sanchez, who preceded him in death. He was also a wonderful father-in-law to Blanca, Janet, Cely, and son-in-law Steven.


A man whose life centered around family, Toñin found his greatest joy in bringing loved ones together. He was known for creating unforgettable gatherings filled with delicious food, music, and laughter. These moments became cherished memories for all who knew him. He was also a devoted New York Mets fan, always cheering on his team with passion and pride.


Antonio’s love and legacy live on through his 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry his spirit forward.


He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to every room.


He was deeply loved and will be missed immensely by all who knew him.
