Obituary of Anthony Palmer
Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony Lee Palmer (Junior) (Pearl) (Tony)
Anthony Lee Palmer was born on March 30, 1956, to Celia Dawkins and Bertram Palmer. He was Celia's firstborn.
Most people called him Junior, but he was also known as Pearl (for his dazzling white smile) and Tony.
Junior was always quiet, but not in a mischievous way. There were some extraordinary gifts brewing in his quietness.
As a teenager, he tore up the tracks on Sports Day, earning countless trophies. He was also a very good cricketer and played for Devonshire Recreation Club in Bermuda.
Few people know that Junior was an avid writer and musician. In fact, he wrote most of the tracts for Ital Foundation's first album. And how he loved his electric guitar!
He earned a first-class qualification as an electrician and there are numerous businesses and homes in New York that have benefited from his expert services. Junior did not take shortcuts.
Junior was a very fashionable guy - he preferred tailor-made clothing over store-bought items, and he took great pride in maintaining his Olympic form physique.
He had an outrageous sense of humor - it was not unusual for him to have strangers cracking up on their very first meeting.
Junior's trademark, however, was his kindness - he would think nothing of giving you the shirt on his back and going without. And when he was on his way home, he always called ahead to see if we needed something from the store.
Junior is survived by:
His mother, Celia
Sisters - Suzette (Kharis & Phil, Elaine (Nia, Akilah, Shani & Sharunde), Melody (Jaloni, Mya)
Brother - Deon (Sherwayne, Deandra)

Rest in peace Junior - we look forward to seeing you in Olympic form very soon.
