As the baby of the youngest brother, I was always considered as such. Joe's Mom, Aunt Henrietta, was my father Harry's younger sister. 'Though we lived in DC, whenever we traveled up North we would visit with the family. As we grew up, we remained in touch. While Joe was teaching, he would often call and ask to bring his "prize students" for a visit. I had just married when he called and asked to bring 6 young men and their sleeping bags for a visit to Washington, D.C. They didn't mind that our apartment was quite tiny and they just about covered the living room wall-to-wall! I'm sure that was one of the reasons I chose to become a life-long educator!
Much love to Susan and Jessie! Cousin Joan
