Obituary of Robert Louis Brown

Robert Louis Brown, 70 went home to be with the Lord on the 19th of September 2025. Robert was born on June 20, 1955 to Dorothy Alford and Tharps Brown in Camden, SC. He was educated in the New York Public School System. Graduated from Erasmus High School. Went on to work in a pharmacy in the Flatbush area. After that, he went to work on Wall Street as an accountant. He then went on to work for Spirit of New York where he retired. After many years of illness, he peacefully went to sleep to be with the Lord. Robert met and married the love of his life, Sylvia Pomarca Brown in 2015. They met in 2009 on DeKalb Ave and went to have lunch at Dunkin Donuts and the rest was a beautiful union. Everyone loved him wherever he went. Always made people smile and laugh. He also often loved to hang out at Newkirk Ave Plaza. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Brown; his father, Tharps Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife, Sylvia Pomarca Brown; cousin, John Adams (Maritza) of Jackson, NJ; Aunt Sandra Alford Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY; Uncle Jerry Alford (Adey) of Brooklyn, NY; also two cousins on his wife's side, also of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of extended relatives and friends.
