This was one of mommy’s favorite pictures. Even in the last of her days she was worrying about me. Wanting to send gifts and things, though I’ve said many times that it’s not necessary. I’m so sad that my bonus children haven’t had the opportunity to know the real her. I know she would have eaten their faces off with her crazy Petito kisses. She was completely obsessed with Genese, she cut her umbilical cord the day she was born and saved it. When she was calling the names of her grands, she still said Lisa, June, Erica whatever your name is! Lol
We fought a lot in my younger years. lol She wanted to strangle me so many times haha. But she never gave up on her children or anyone that she really adored.
Ma I will always carry on your legacy. I’m going to get my ashes today even though I’m not a practicing Catholic girl anymore. Mommy was hurting so bad in her soul, the physical pain could not compare. I know it and I felt it. This hurts even though we all know that we all have an expiration date. Her soul is finally at peace and that is where I find comfort.
I’m thankful that Genese had a loving grandmother into her young adult days. Something I never once had. Thank you for all of the blood, sweat, and tears you’ve poured into us over the years.
My heart is aching a great deal. Rose, JJ, lil Bobby, Genese, Anthony, and Jason were lucky to have you in their lives and it kills my heart to see them weep. Just like I know it does yours but ma just trust us that we got them covered.

I first met Mama Rose when I was in the seventh grade, around twelve or thirteen years old. At the time, Erica and I were best friends, and from the moment I stepped into her home, Mama Rose welcomed me as if I were another daughter. She always made jokes about how skinny I was, and without fail, every visit came with a warm meal.
Sundays were the best—she would wake up early to prepare her famous sauce, filling the house with comfort and love. Though the years have passed and life has taken us in different directions, the memories of her kindness, laughter, and generosity remain close to my heart.
Mama Rose was deeply loved, and she will be truly missed.

It’s hard to believe that I won’t be seeing her anymore, but I’m grateful for the hours of time that we spent together on Sundays. To me Rose was always nice and we had such long and fun conversations on fb. As a child I thought she was funny when she yelled at her kids with her words. But look out, don’t mess with Rose. I lived across the street from her and glad I did. RIP LADY.

I was a kid when I met mama
We lived down the block from her family I played with all her kids
I became one of her own . She always looked out for me. With all her struggles she was strong, hard, fair and loving.
What I will miss most is her voice her advice just about everything.
